The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) as one of the key anti-corruption agencies, has been connected to the Unified Whistleblower Reporting Portal (hereinafter referred to as the Portal). From now on, employees at NABU will be able to report to this special resource the facts of corruption that they have managed to record.
The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) congratulates NABU for promptly joining the reporting channel and encourages other specially authorized entities in the field of corruption prevention to join the Portal.
The National Agency is ready to provide all organizations with advisory and practical assistance in connecting to the Portal and further work with it. After all, this special resource is one of the tools for implementing anti-corruption policy, the creation of which is provided for by the Law of Ukraine "On Prevention of Corruption" and the State Anti-Corruption Program for 2023-2025 (SACP). Therefore, NACP's top priority is to make the Portal operate in a commercial mode.
In total, more than 92 thousand organizations will be connected to the unified tool, which should become an effective means of eradicating corruption in the future, within 180 working days. At the first stage, specially authorized anti-corruption agencies (NACP, NABU, Prosecutor General's Office, National Police) and the State Bureau of Investigation will be connected to the Portal within 30 days. Ministries, central executive bodies with special status, and regional state (military) administrations will be connected within 60 days. Within 90 working days from the date of the Portal launch, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat, the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Office of the President, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC), the Central Election Committee (CEC), the Accounting Chamber, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine (CCU), state-owned companies, etc. will be connected to the Portal. Then followed regional, city, village, and town councils.
As a reminder, on September 6, 2023, the NACP launched the Unified Whistleblower Reporting Portal, where citizens can report corruption they have witnessed. The special resource allows employees of organizations to send anonymous reports about corruption in their structures; the information of whistleblowers is promptly sent to its managers or authorized units (persons) for the prevention and detection of corruption, as well as to a specially authorized entity in the field of combating corruption.
NABU becomes the second agency connected to the Unified Whistleblower Reporting Portal
