Based on the results of control over the completeness of declaration filings conducted by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), inaccurate information totalling over UAH 107 million has been identified in the declarations of local council deputies since the beginning of October 2026.
In total, since the beginning of 2026, the NACP has identified inaccurate information worth over UAH 1 billion in the declarations of officials at various levels following control over the completeness of declaration filings.
Based on the NACP's findings, the investigative unit of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Zhytomyr Oblast has completed a pre-trial investigation into a deputy of the Kurnenska Village Council of Zhytomyr Raion. The indictment against him has been referred to court. In his declarations for 2023 and 2024, the NACP identified inaccurate information totalling over UAH 3.6 million. The deputy is accused of committing a criminal offence under Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (CC of Ukraine).

For reference. The procedure for conducting control over the completeness of declaration filings is defined by a special Procedure registered with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
Unlike a full verification of declarations, which takes up to 120 days, control over the completeness of declaration filings takes up to 40 working days.
During this control, the NACP compares the information provided in declarations with data from state registers and databases, foreign state registers, court decisions, information obtained from other state bodies, the declarants themselves, and other sources.
