NACP Head discussed with the French Ambassador the importance of international support for the New Anti-Corruption Strategy for 2026-2030

19.02.2026

The Head of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), Viktor Pavlushchyk, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Ukraine, Mr. Gaël Veyssière, and discussed issues of mutual interest to the NACP and France, including potential areas of cooperation ahead of the approval of the future Anti-Corruption Strategy, which is a key milestone for Ukraine’s path to the EU.

The NACP Head recalled Ukraine’s results recognised at the international level, for example, within the framework of monitoring the implementation of the OECD Istanbul Anti-Corruption Action Plan, where Ukraine received the highest result among all countries, nearly 90% for the implementation of anti-corruption policy. At the end of last year, the NACP completed the preparation of the draft Anti-Corruption Strategy for 2026–2030 — the key framework document of the next five-year cycle of state anti-corruption policy.

“The key priorities of the NACP’s activities in the area of anti-corruption policy in 2026 include the approval of the Strategy, as well as the development and approval of a new State Anti-Corruption Programme, which will become the main instrument for the practical implementation of the provisions of the Strategy. We hope that as soon as the Strategy is submitted to the Government and Parliament, it will be approved as soon as possible. This is a strategic document for the entire country, and we need the support of international partners, including France and the G7 countries, taking into account France’s chairing role,” Viktor Pavlushchyk noted.

Gaël Veyssière reaffirmed France’s unwavering support for Ukraine in its aspirations for membership in the European Union, as well as further assistance in advancing important anti-corruption initiatives.

In 2026, France will hold the presidency of the Group of Seven (G7). Gaël Veyssière assumed the chairmanship of the G7 Ambassadors’ Group from the Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine, Natalka Cmoc.
