The High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) has upheld a claim filed by a prosecutor of the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) based on materials from the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) and declared UAH 2 million worth of assets of the head of the notary department in Zakarpattia region of the Notary Department of the Western Interregional Directorate of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine to be unjustified.
Based on the results of lifestyle monitoring, the NACP found that the official received UAH 2 million in 2021, for which he subsequently purchased a Toyota Rav4 made in 2023.
The Agency's authorised officials analysed the income and expenses of the official and his family and concluded that the property could not have been acquired through legitimate income.
The court decision may be appealed within 30 days from the date of its full text.
