The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) has found signs of unjustified assets worth UAH 2 million from the head of the notary department in Zakarpattia region of the Notary Department of the Western Interregional Department of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. Based on these materials, prosecutors of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court to recognize the assets as unjustified and recover them for the state.
In 2021, the official received UAH 2 million, for which he later purchased a Toyota Rav4, made in 2023. NACP analyzed the income and expenditures of the official's family and his relatives and found that it was impossible to acquire the property at the expense of legitimate income.
The court has now seized these assets at the request of the SAPO prosecutor.
