More than UAH 4.4 million in unjustified assets may be confiscated from a State Tax Service official in Lviv Region

19.05.2026

A prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO), including based on the materials of a full declaration verification conducted by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) to recognize as unjustified the assets acquired by the deputy head of the Department for Detection and Processing of Tax Risks of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in Lviv Region.

This concerns:

  • a manor-type residential house with an area of 136.1 sq. m;
  • a land plot with an area of 535 sq. m in the Lviv Region, where the said house is located.

During the full verification of the tax official's declaration for 2023, the NACP, in cooperation with the SBI, established that in 2022 she purchased the said land plot in a cottage town in Lviv Region, allegedly free of buildings. In reality, an unfinished construction object was already erected on it - a cottage with an estimated value of over UAH 6.7 million, which she did not declare. The official and her husband did not have legal sources of income to purchase the said object. The difference between the value of the property and the confirmed income is over UAH 4.4 million, which indicates signs of an unjustified asset.

Based on the data from the NACP and the SBI, as well as independently collected evidence, the SAPO prosecutor filed a lawsuit to recognise the said assets as unjustified and to confiscate them into state revenue.
