Start of the Competitive Selection Process in the NACP
On November 13, 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine announced on its official website the conditions and timelines for the competition for the Head of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) position. From this moment, all interested individuals can submit their documents for consideration. The documents will be accepted in electronic format, with the deadline for submission being December 1, 2023. Applicants have approximately three weeks to gather, prepare, and submit the required documents. Matthew Murray, Chairman of the Selection Commission for the position of Head of the NACP, stated, "The main task of the Commission is to assess the professional competence, personal integrity, and executive leadership skills of the candidates for the position of the Head of NACP and to determine the winning candidate in a timely manner. The Commission members are committed to ensure that the competition process will be objective, fair, transparent, and rigorous. We call on all interested individuals who meet the formal requirements and have the motivation, commitment, and dynamism to lead the NACP to apply for the competition." All received applications will initially be checked for compliance with the formal requirements set by the Laws of Ukraine. Subsequently, candidates meeting the formal requirements will undergo a check of personal integrity, take a series of tests, and respond to specific queries. Informative reference As of January 15, 2020, Oleksandr Novikov is the current Head of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP). According to the Law of Ukraine "On Prevention of Corruption," the Head of the NACP is appointed for a term of 4 years and cannot hold this position twice in a row.
