The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) upheld the first-instance court’s decision, which recognised assets used by the family of the former acting head of the Kharkiv Regional Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TCC & SSC) as unjustified.
The assets in question are BMW X6 and Toyota Camry Hybrid vehicles with a total value of over UAH 4.8 million.
During a lifestyle monitoring of the official, the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) established that in 2023–2024, individuals close to the official acquired ownership of these cars. At the same time, an analysis of income and expenditures showed a lack of legal income to purchase vehicles of such value.
Based on materials from the NACP and the State Bureau of Investigation, in May 2025, a prosecutor with the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) filed a corresponding lawsuit with the court. The court of first instance partially granted the claim and recognised the assets as unjustified, ruling for their civil forfeiture, which has now been upheld by the appellate instance.
One of the vehicles and the value of the other will be recovered as state revenue. The decision entered into force the moment it was announced.
