Based on the results of full audits of declarations conducted by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), courts found three local council deputies guilty of intentionally entering false information into their asset declarations. The total amount of established false information in the declarations exceeds UAH 27.7 million.
One deputy was found guilty of committing a criminal offence under Part 2 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (CC of Ukraine), and two others under Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the CC of Ukraine.
Specifically, the Kalynivka District Court of the Vinnytsia Region found a deputy of the Kalynivka City Council of the Vinnytsia Region guilty of entering false information into his 2024 declaration amounting to over UAH 14.1 million. During the full audit, the NACP established that he failed to declare information regarding:
- a company owned by him, with a share in the authorised capital exceeding UAH 7.3 million;
- personal income from the sale of a Porsche Taycan car for UAH 2.9 million;
- a financial liability to the company owned by him in the amount of over UAH 1.6 million.
In addition, the official failed to state four land plots, three of which he owns and one of which he leases, with a total value of over UAH 140 thousand, his own vehicle worth over UAH 200,000, and provided false information regarding the amount of dividends received, overstating them by more than UAH 900 thousand.
The court imposed a penalty in the form of a fine of 5 thousand non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens (UAH 85 thousand), with a deprivation of the right to hold positions in state authorities and local self-government bodies for a term of 1 year. The sentence has entered into legal force.
The Slavuta District Court of the Khmelnytskyi Region found a deputy of the Slavuta City Council of the Khmelnytskyi Region guilty of entering false information into his 2023 and 2024 declarations amounting to over UAH 9.4 million.
In particular, in his declarations, the deputy omitted information regarding:
- an apartment in the city of Slavuta belonging to a family member, which was used by him as an actual place of residence. The value of the real estate is over UAH 1.9 million;
- his own land plot worth over UAH 10.6 thousand and an apartment worth UAH 600 thousand;
- funds deposited by him in bank accounts: over UAH 177 thousand in 2023 and UAH 559 thousand in 2024.
Also, in the 2023 declaration, the deputy indicated false information about credit liabilities in the amount of over UAH 874 thousand, and in the 2024 declaration – in the amount of over UAH 1.1 million.
In the 2024 declaration, the deputy stated false information regarding income from entrepreneurial activity exceeding UAH 903 thousand, and also failed to disclose income exceeding UAH 1.3 million.
The court sentenced him to a fine of 3 thousand non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens (UAH 51,000), with a deprivation of the right to hold positions or engage in activities related to the performance of state or local self-government functions for a term of 1 year. The sentence has entered into legal force.
The Petropavlivka District Court of the Dnipropetrovsk Region found a deputy of the Ukrainske Village Council of the Dnipropetrovsk Region guilty of entering false information into his 2024 declaration amounting to over UAH 4.2 million.
During the full audit, the NACP established that he failed to disclose information in the declaration regarding 7 leased land plots located on the territory of the Ukrainske Village Council, with a total value of over UAH 4.1 million.
Furthermore, the deputy provided false information regarding his income in the form of salary and pension amounting to over UAH 116 thousand.
The court imposed a similar sentence on him. The ruling has entered into legal force.
