The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) found signs of unjustified assets worth more than UAH 1.6 million while monitoring the lifestyle of a deputy director of a department of the Kharkiv City Council.
The lifestyle monitoring revealed that her 83-year-old mother-in-law purchased a car and an apartment for over UAH 1.6 million without having the appropriate legal income. In addition, the NACP found that all expenses related to the registration of the apartment and its further maintenance were made by the official and her husband.
The lifestyle monitoring materials regarding the deputy director of the department of the Kharkiv City Council were transferred to the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) to decide whether to file a lawsuit to recognize the assets as unjustified and recover them as state revenue under Article 290 of the Civil Procedure Code of Ukraine.
As a reminder, in September, the NACP, while monitoring lifestyles, found signs of unjustified assets of the head of one of the village councils in Zakarpattia, as well as an official of one of the local service centers of the MIA's Main Service Center in Zakarpattia region.
