Almost 700 thousand declarations were submitted for the reporting period of 2023

01.04.2024

More than 664 thousand declarations* were submitted by public officials in the reporting period of 2023. During the previous campaign, which included two reporting periods at once (2021 and 2022) and took place after the reintroduction of declaration, 656 thousand and 649 thousand declarations were submitted, respectively (updated on 8.04.2024).

The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) is grateful to those officials who have responsibly fulfilled their duties and submitted their declarations on time. We would also like to remind you that if you find any errors in your declaration when entering data or forget to provide any information, you have the opportunity to submit a corrected declaration within 30 days from the date of filing. However, you can do this only once. We advise you to use the “Data for the declaration” function, which also allows you to obtain information about the income and assets of family members and check the correctness of this data.

At the beginning of 2024, the NACP started conducting full verification of declarations using a new risk-based approach to the process of selecting declarations. Based on the results of the risk assessment, the NACP will choose the method of verification - automated or by an authorized person. It should be noted that the process of risk assessment of submitted declarations is still ongoing. A stable rating of declarations by risk indicators from higher to lower is expected in about a month.

As of April 1, 2024, 312 full audits have been initiated, and 13 declarations have been completed, which revealed inaccurate information worth more than UAH 9 million. The list of persons in respect of whom full verification has been initiated and the results of the verifications can be found here.

About 160 thousand declarations submitted for the reporting period of 2021 and more than 137 thousand declarations for 2022 were automated. This is almost a third of the declarations that were subject to automated verification.

“We will not be able to build an honest public service that would be trusted and respected by citizens without such an effective tool as asset declarations. After all, honest asset declarations of public officials are the reputation and authority of the entire state, which we must protect today from external threats and potential challenges in the future. That is why I am grateful to those officials who understand this and take their responsibilities responsibly. The NACP, for its part, will continue to work on improving the e-declaration process to make it even more convenient for declarants and to enable citizens to effectively monitor the integrity of public officials,” said NACP Head Viktor Pavlushchyk.

For reference: the statistics of submitted declarations includes annual and annual post-retirement declarations for 2023, submitted between January 1 and March 31, 2024.
