Lifestyle monitoring: over UAH 3 million may be recovered to the state budget from the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection

18.08.2025

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO), based on materials received from the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) and the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) seeking recognition of the assets of the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine as unjustified and their recovery to the state budget (civil confiscation). The case concerns assets worth over UAH 3 million, the materials on which the NACP submitted to SAPO in May 2025.

In the course of lifestyle monitoring initiated on the basis of SBI materials, NACP established that in 2020–2021 close relatives of the official acquired:

  • two apartments in Bucha district, Kyiv region, worth UAH 707,000 and over UAH 488,000;
  • two non-residential premises in the same district worth UAH 107,000 and over UAH 1.1 million;
  • a land plot in Makariv district, Kyiv region, worth UAH 150,000;
  • a 2020 Mazda CX-5 car worth UAH 480,000.

Authorized representatives of the National Agency analyzed the incomes and expenditures of the official and her close relatives and concluded that the assets could not have been purchased with legitimate funds.
