Investigators of the Territorial Department of the State Bureau of Investigation located in the city of Lviv, including based on the materials of a full verification of the declaration conducted by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), notified of suspicion (in absentia) a former forester of the Tykhovetske Forestry of inaccurate declaration for over UAH 9.6 million.
During the full verification of the declaration for 2024, the NACP, among other things, established that the former official concealed from the declaration real estate in the village of Krasna, Zakarpattia Region, in particular:
- a land plot with an area of 900 sq. m, which he uses, having built a service station for cars on it;
- a plot with an area of 1,250 sq. m and a completed but not registered in the prescribed manner house located on it, which are the property of the declarant's father-in-law and were in the use of his wife;
- a cafe building with an area of 94.9 sq. m, where his wife conducts business, and which belongs to her by right of ownership.
In addition, the former official failed to declare a residential house with an area of 65.9 sq. m, where he actually lived with his family. The real estate is registered to his father, but was built by the declarant on a land plot of the grounds of the Tykhovetske Forestry, where he worked at that time.
The declaration also does not indicate two SUVs – a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (built in 2010) belonging to his wife and a Toyota Hilux (built in 2016) registered to his mother, which was used by the declarant.
In total, the amount of inaccurate information in the declaration established by the verification and investigation data exceeded UAH 9.6 million.
The actions of the former forester are qualified under Part 2 of Art. 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The investigation is being conducted under the operational guidance of the Zakarpattia Regional Prosecutor's Office and with the operational support of the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police of Ukraine and the Strategic Investigations Department in Zakarpattia Region.
Caution: According to Part 1 of Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in accordance with the law and established by a court's guilty verdict.
