Following audits on the completeness of asset declarations conducted by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), courts have found two officials guilty of submitting inaccurate information in their declarations and imposed administrative penalties on them.
Specifically, the Synelnykove City District Court of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast found the chief specialist of the registration department of the Synelnykove City Council of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast guilty of committing an administrative offence under Part 4 of Article 172-6 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses. During the audit, the NACP established that the official had entered inaccurate information worth over UAH 1.8 million into his 2024 asset declaration. Following the trial, the court imposed an administrative penalty in the form of a fine of UAH 17,000.
In addition, the Myronivka District Court of Kyiv Oblast found the starosta (local representative) of the Viktorivka Starostyn District No. 4 of the Myronivka City Council of Obukhiv Raion, Kyiv Oblast, guilty of committing an administrative offence under Part 4 of Article 172-6 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses. The NACP audit revealed that the official had entered inaccurate information worth over UAH 987,000 into his 2024 declaration. The court also ordered an administrative penalty in the form of a fine of UAH 17,000.
Furthermore, based on the findings of the NACP audit, the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Prosecutor’s Office filed an indictment in court against a female member of one of the district councils in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast for intentionally declaring knowingly false information in her annual asset declaration (Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
