The results of completed full verifications demonstrate that applying a risk-based approach to selecting declarations for full verification has positively impacted their effectiveness.
Important: The initiation of a full verification does not mean that the declarant has committed a corruption or corruption-related offence. If violations are established based on verification results, the NACP takes measures to hold the individual accountable in accordance with the law. Where grounds exist, materials are forwarded to pre-trial investigation bodies and to the SAPO to consider civil forfeiture of unjustified assets. A decision on an individual's guilt in committing a violation is made exclusively by a court.
