REGISTER OF CORRUPT OFFICIALS
According to the surveys, 59% of Ukrainians believe that publishing information on corrupt officials is one of the primary measures to stop them from taking bribes. With the new update to the Unified State Register of Persons who Committed Acts of Corruption or Corruption-related Offenses (Register of Corrupt Officials), the National Agency on Corruption Prevention has created a multifunctioning IT tool to meet the expectations of society. Being on that register disallows work in public office and participation in procurement transactions. The Register allows citizens to conveniently access the information on how many persons have been held accountable for corruption, in particular, received charges for criminal and administrative offenses, and subject to disciplinary liability. The Register also has a convenient search tool and API access that allows portal users to easily find the necessary information and analyze the data.
Purpose of the Register:
to prove the inevitability of responsibility for corruption-related offences and achieve zero tolerance for corruption in Ukraine.
Dates of launch:
launched in March 2019, updated in May 2021.
Number of users:
more than 220,000 users who received certificates and extracts from the Register.
